Sleeves – Handcuffs
The feeling to pull sleeves over my hands, when it’s cold or I need it cozy, was one I missed a lot.
Most sleeves are to short or I’m deforming them.
To be able to pull them over my hands, when it’s cold or my hands are hurting, I knitted this Sleeves – without a Sweater
Knitted with Garnstudio Drops Nord in NS 3. (double pointed needles)
Nord is a alpaca-mix yarn with a length of 170m
The cuffs are 30cm long
Very easy and very warm.
Cast on: 56 stitches – 14 stitches per needle
15 Rounds: knit 1 in back loop, purl 1
The main part is knitted in :
knit 3 , purl 1
After reaching the length of about 25 cm repeat
15 Rounds: knit 1 in back loop, purl 1
Cast off and weave in the ends.
Knit the second sleeve in the same way
I wish you warm and cozy hours
Greetings

Hi
Like your pattern. But wondering if it shouldn’t be knit1 and purl 3. And the knit 1 should be through the back loop to be consistent
with the ribbing. As it is christmas eve now thank you for the pattern and God Jul & gott Nytt År from Sweden.
Hi 🙂 I turned them inside out. I knitted the wristwarmers the way I described.
Merry Christmas – God Jul
Hello Martina!
I’m working on a new blog post about „twiddle sleeves.“ I don’t know if you’ve heard about them, but they’re basically a take on „twiddle muffs“ for dementia patients.
I’d love to offer folks patterns for knitted sleeves that they can then embellish to create twiddle sleeves. I think this pattern would be a perfect fit.
Would you be willing to let me use one of your photos for this? (I saw your photos on Ravelry!) I’ll credit you, of course.
Thanks!
Hi Nicole 🙂
Thank you for your kind request.
I am happy if you use my pattern for charitiy. Of course you can use my pictures.
